About Katharina
I am a student of computer science at the University of Paderborn. There, I have given several tutorials (computer science) for university students and I also got a training on giving tutorials. Many of the lectures I attended at UPB were held completely in English. During my school days I tutored many students (grades 5-13) in English for 6 years.

I try to adapt my teaching method to you so that you benefit the most. Usually, I structured the lessons in the following way:
First, we looked at current homework or exams. If there are any problems, I will explain what you do not understand or what you need to know for the task. Then I will give you one or more examples to practice with.
Alternatively, we cover special topics that you know you have problems or need to catch up on (e.g. special grammar problems, vocabulary, etc.). With grammar, for example, I explain the relevant rules to you (if necessary, we write them down together if there are several) and then I give you a task to practice. These can be tasks from your school books or old class assignments, but I can also create suitable tasks - just as you like.
If you are more interested in improving your listening skills or your oral expression, we can also talk in English if you already know (especially: understand) enough English for this. It's up to you whether we discuss issues with grammar or whether we just talk about current news or any topic you are interested in.
