My approach to teaching is to be flexible and engaging when working with students individually. I use the communicative method and like to ensure that the needs of my students are met and that they take away useful and practical language skills. I have a wealth of inspiring and goal oriented material and I am resourceful, goal-oriented and enthusiastic in meeting the needs of my students.
My teaching methods are based on discovery learning with the use of hands on materials for easier understanding. When children find out things on their own instead of you telling them they’ll remember it. I’m very flexible, creative and patient.
I completed a masters degree in teaching and learning, and am quite talented in supporting students to improve their practical English skills. I specialize in the four pillars of language learning, reading speaking writing and listening. This works quite well online, and in person.
In a speaking lesson, the students role play conversations from a text book. Sometimes we play a homemade board game that includes questions and vocabulary that the students have been taught. For a reading lesson, the students read a book chapter and answer questions about the book. For a listening lesson, the students listen to an audio recording and answer questions about what they heard.
My teaching methods are hands on. I try to meet the needs of individual students by changing my techniques with each lesson. A typical class would include writing, reading and doing an activity. My classes are meant for junior high and high school students but I also have some experience with younger students.
I think singing is very good way to memorize and practice English. Watching animation and movies with subtitles makes learning more interesting.Listening, talking and writing about them is another very important way to improve. If you are really keen we can also use traditional book learning if that is what you want.
I believe that teachers and students have to work together in order to create a successful class. With that in mind, I take on a role similar to a coach in that I cheer on students and assist them in their journey of achieving their goals, such as speaking with fluency or passing an exam for college.
My teaching style is relaxed with the individual needs of the student in mind. I adapt my classes to the learning style of the student in order to insure student success. A typical class with me would include lots of student input and interaction.
Provide students with an immersion in the English language, culture and history, to foster comprehension. Highly experienced in raising language learners’ self-confidence, to enhance communication skills. Supervise and evaluate students' progress, through general and individual learning targets, according to students' language level.
I engage my students with popular and controversial topics for critical thinking. I believe smaller classes are more conducive to inclusivity and learning.
I prefer to assess my students and then tailor their learning experience to their needs. I understand the frustration of learning a second language, and also realize that what the student wishes to learn might not be in the set form of a textbook. I design my own lessons to meet the students needs and interest.
I believe that classes should be educational, but interesting and fun. People learn differently so I like to incorporate different teaching methods depending on my student's preferences! My ESL lessons are meant for 15-21 year olds between the elementary to advanced level.
In teaching ESL, I cater lessons to the age, level, and expectations of my students. I do generally use a Communicative Approach, focusing on language for real life situations and practical communication; I also consider the motivations of my students in their desire to learn English. Whether it is for employment, for school, or for every day life, we can arrange together what works best.
My methods are aligned to make sure that you understand and grasp the concepts as easily and as quickly as possible. Rather than having one particular way of teaching I will teach you in the way you understand the best. The objective of my teaching is only to serve the student learning and I work together with the student and parents to get the best out of the students.
Most English courses do not deepen the knowledge of the language, much less prepare students for an international proficiency test. Expressing yourself effectively and fluently is important but understanding how the test works will ensure you a high band at IELTS.
I always loved when my previous teachers were engaging, interesting and had a fun and creative teaching method, which is what I attempt to do as well. I hope I can prove that to your child/children while tutoring them.
I am easy to get a long with, and most people find me comfortable to be around. A typical class who be either at the Wetaskiwin Public Library or somewhere, were it is suitable for you. My teaching would be able to show the different ways to make learning fun.
I can design my program for individual students needs and I am equitable and sensitive to all kinds of learners. I specialize in English teaching. I prefer to teach students from ages 4 to 8. Thank you.
Since September 2009, I have been a lecturer/researcher/teaching assistant/tutor for a wide variety of subjects, including Anthropology, Criminology, English (including as a Foreign Language), Law, Literature, Maths, Research Methods, Sociology, and several standardised tests (ACT, BMAT, GMAT, GRE, HPAT, SAT, and UKCAT).
I will access where you are in English. I want to hear you talk and write and I can confirm where are your weak points so you can improve as quickly as possible. During you're learning we will speak English and write English. I can even provide you homework to learn faster. Our first lesson together will be to test your English.
My primary teaching method is to structure lessons in a skill building format. Starting with foundational information and material, then proceeding into deeper concepts and theories on the topic. I also allow for a fair amount of flexibility, as every student has a unique learning style.
I understand that no one approach works for every student - my goal is to help each child find the method that best suits them. The first session is spent getting to know the individual; what their needs and abilities are and what they (or their parents) want to get out of the lessons. The rest will be tailored to meet those goals in a way that builds on the child's strengths.
I use the communicative language learning approach as my teaching method. My lessons are based on materials within and around us. I approach my topics with confidence, structure and flexibility. I have the skill of engaging effectively with learners.
My teaching methods include humor and patience with rapid results. Classes are highly interactive, and much is expected, but at the student's pace and capability. A typical class is 50 minutes, and is based around a topic. For example, "A day at the beach" focuses on vocabulary that may be used on a sunny afternoon at the ocean.
I teach English to high school students. I am friendly , include stories or references to a general topic to make the subject more interesting. I have been an avid reader all my life and would love to share the love for the language with others .
I work with each student on an individualized basis to set personal goals and vary teaching approaches to meet the student's needs. I work with each student to develop gestured vocabulary cues, videos, games and exercises aimed toward the achievement of their personal goals.
I love children, and being the eldest of six children, all of whom were homeschooled, I have had so much experience with many different learning types.
I am in favor of communicative teaching methods for all levels in which students find the courage to participate, discover, solve problems, and finally produce language. I am a creative teacher to always add fun and freshness to his classes.
I give, guide, and motivate students to receive, retain, and reproduce English as a living language. I am very flexible when it comes to subjects for lessons. Students' interests and immediate needs are taken into account for classes.
I try to base my teaching on personal connection and communication skills with other people. By using a communicative approach, students will develop the ability to read, write and speak English in everyday situations, as well as in a professional atmosphere.
