I can help you realize your English language goals for career or social advancement with lessons that are designed specifically for you. Some students need to develop their vocabulary in a very specific area such as travel, health care, finance, or technology.
In a speaking lesson, the students role play conversations from a text book. Sometimes we play a homemade board game that includes questions and vocabulary that the students have been taught. For a reading lesson, the students read a book chapter and answer questions about the book. For a listening lesson, the students listen to an audio recording and answer questions about what they heard.
I engage my students with popular and controversial topics for critical thinking. I believe smaller classes are more conducive to inclusivity and learning.
I make an accurate diagnosis of my student's needs, followed by detailed planning on how to reach goals, I offer the following: 1. Detailed essay writing practice with in-depth details on APA/MLA formats for referencing, in-text citation, research, essay structures, grammar, organization, etc. 2. Most recent (actual) exams.
Tailored classes to your needs. Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening. Easily identifies areas needed for improvement and creates individual classes to focus on weaker skills by using the students strengths. First class is for assessment. After that, classes follow student's progress and are prepared based on student's interests and specific goals.

I base my classes on the needs of the student/s that I am working with and make an effort to ensure that students feel comfortable expressing themselves in my lessons. I focus on encouraging students to produce any degree of language they can through positive reinforcement, low teacher talk time, and varied forms of error correction.
I believe that teachers and students have to work together in order to create a successful class. With that in mind, I take on a role similar to a coach in that I cheer on students and assist them in their journey of achieving their goals, such as speaking with fluency or passing an exam for college.
Through my teaching experiences, I've come to use a methodology that focuses on the use of Total Physical Response (TPR), along with images, repetition, and of course, enthusiasm. Positive reinforcement is a central motivating factor in learning development.
Delivering material professionally, and clearly to learners of all ages and abilities. Affordable rates of instruction with ability to self-schedule and create programs for leaning English I believe in working with adults and young learners to recognize their unique learning style and adapting to fit the program to the objective.
My unique approach to teaching revolves around collaborating and learning together. In other words, I invite all of my students to participate with our lesson planning to ensure that everyone has a voice. This in turn, helps with engagement and participation which results in a fun, interactive class.
I prefer to teach concepts to build a strong base, and then build with examples. I encourage students to tackle questions by breaking them down and working through them by technique, rather than rote learning. I prefer to be approachable as I believe no question is to small to ask. Furthermore, as a researcher, I always encourage students to ask: "why".
Depending on the student's needs, I incorporate the right approach based on these five methods: 1. Silent or Receptive Stage: During this stage students may be silent or use non-verbal communication, like pointing or nodding their head. The focus is on building the confidence it takes to actually speak and on learning basic vocabulary. There’s no language fluency at this stage in the game.
I approach my lessons with structure but I am flexible to the different learning styles of my students. Everyone is unique in how they learn. I will tailor a unique program to best meet your requirements. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals.
In general, classes follow a format of Engage-Study-Activate, or some variant of that approach. The class begins with engaging students with warm-up activities designed to get students into the proper mindset to speak and listen in English and prepare them for the lesson material that follows.
My classes are well structured by they do have room for flexibility according the students needs. Our classes together will definitely be fun and exciting, but at the same time will have a purpose. Our goal in each class is to continue to help you improve.
TEFL-certified aspiring teacher who dreams of teaching English across Asia in the future. Located in beautiful Peterborough, Ontario. I respect that everyone's learning styles are different, and so I cater to my students' individual strengths and help them discover and improve on their weaknesses.
My teaching methods are communicative ,natural approach and based on student.Student has alot more time for himself-herself to be able to improve his-her communative skills.I am very patient , flexible ,a listener, a communicator and my rapport is really good.
My teaching methods are task based approach and conversational methods. What makes me special is the ability to teach multi level classes. I also speak Arabic and basic French which makes teaching ESL students easier. I mainly teach adults as my specialty.
Everyone is different. I like to figure out the students optimum learning method and interests. Instead of trying to unlearn a 'bad' habit it's better to reinforce a new 'good' habit. The first classes are the most difficult. Patience is the key.
I base my method according to my students' needs and understand the importance of structure in education. Since I have lived and studied in England and America, I am quite familiar school methods.
I am committed to building life-long learners through a combination of empowerment and constructivist teaching techniques within the learning environment. I have a demonstrated ability to meet student needs using small ability groups to foster collaboration and competition. I have excellent communication, interpersonal, critical thinking & problem solving skills.
My teaching methods focus a lot on the phonics system: speaking and writing are equally as important to me. I like to focus on one more than the other depending on which learning method is best for the individual student. When learning how to read, I like to incorporate phonics, rewriting, or answering questions, to engage all methods of learning English in one fun way.
I manage classes fairly. Able to touch their interests in studies and I see to it that they are really learning.
My teaching methods are based on an initial needs analysis, whether for an individual student or a complete class. In teaching EFL I prefer to use the Natural (Direct) Method which was introduced by Charles Berlitz early in the 20th century. It includes pantomime, real objects, and visual material, with occasional TPR (Total Physical Response) to music, games etc.
The focus of my methodology is to meet the individual needs of the student and to make the lessons engaging. This could mean teaching language through songs, games, discussion, visuals, adding in supplemental internet material, working from a textbook, designing very specific lessons for a particular point of grammar or a combination of all of these things.
I teach every student in a very simple way that everyone easily understands my techniques. I make the subject interesting with examples not boring. I am able to teach from basics to high-level things. I wanna make sure that my teaching structure takes every student to a high level and makes them perfect.
Along with making an accurate diagnosis of my student's needs, followed by detailed planning on how to reach goals, I offer the following: 1. Detailed essay writing practice with in-depth details on APA/MLA formats for referencing, in-text citation, research, essay structures, grammar, organization, etc. 2. Most recent (actual) exams.
I have no formal training in teaching/tutoring, however my patient, detail-oriented, open, and communicative nature would allow me to excel as an educator. Methodology would involve a student-centered curriculum tbd at the individual level. I am seeking to teach English as a second language.
I like to focus on conversation. I believe that putting grammar, vocabulary and phonetics to practice in a real conversation is the best way for students to feel confident enough to use their knowledge when they travel. I also use games, images and videos to make the classes memorable and fun. I can meet students at their home but I prefer if they come to my place.
