About Alim

I’m a certified TEFL & TESOL English tutor and an Early Childhood Educator with over 3 years of experience teaching English to students of all ages. As an avid polyglot, operatic singer by nature, and lifelong bookworm, I bring energy, creativity, and curiosity into every lesson. My approach blends structure with imagination — where learning feels engaging, expressive, and deeply human. Whether you’re polishing grammar, building confidence, or exploring culture through language, I’ll be there to guide you every step of the way.

About the lesson

I teach students ages 5 to 50 — basically anyone who loves learning (or wants to learn to love it)! My lessons blend Bill Nye’s curiosity with Ms. Frizzle’s creativity — fun, hands-on, and full of “aha!” moments. We’ll explore English through cultures, conversation, grammar, and most importantly, laughter.

Perfect! Alim is incredibly patient, enthusiastic, and engaging with the kids and keeps them motivated and interested. We just moved to Canada from Korea and my kids are beginning English learners. I was initially a bit skeptical about online tutor in general but to my surprise course materials (e.g. flashcards, color palette, video) are conveniently screen shared and the kids have no problem talking to / interacting with him.

My kids do one hour each, three times a week and they both really enjoy his classes. I’m very happy with my experience with Alim and would highly recommend to anyone looking for an English tutor.

Today’s lesson went wonderfully! The childr were eager to learn and participated enthusiastically throughout our session. They showed a positive attitude, were willing to try new words and activities, and made great effort communicating in English.
