My approach to teaching is to be flexible and engaging when working with students individually. I use the communicative method and like to ensure that the needs of my students are met and that they take away useful and practical language skills. I have a wealth of inspiring and goal oriented material and I am resourceful, goal-oriented and enthusiastic in meeting the needs of my students.
I teach English Conversation, Reading, Writing and Comprehension by the books taught in elementary level in Montreal. I also teach by the method that I learned in English Proficiency at McGill University, but in basic level. I use my experience for teaching.
My teaching methods are based on discovery learning with the use of hands on materials for easier understanding. When children find out things on their own instead of you telling them they’ll remember it. I’m very flexible, creative and patient.
I completed a masters degree in teaching and learning, and am quite talented in supporting students to improve their practical English skills. I specialize in the four pillars of language learning, reading speaking writing and listening. This works quite well online, and in person.
My lessons are based on the individual levels of my students, with a focus each lesson on an agreed upon area. I firmly believe in ensuring that students are comfortable and I strive to provide an atmosphere conducive to learning and to acquiring the language in an efficient and successful way.
I can help you realize your English language goals for career or social advancement with lessons that are designed specifically for you. Some students need to develop their vocabulary in a very specific area such as travel, health care, finance, or technology.
My teaching methods are hands on. I try to meet the needs of individual students by changing my techniques with each lesson. A typical class would include writing, reading and doing an activity. My classes are meant for junior high and high school students but I also have some experience with younger students.
I think singing is very good way to memorize and practice English. Watching animation and movies with subtitles makes learning more interesting.Listening, talking and writing about them is another very important way to improve. If you are really keen we can also use traditional book learning if that is what you want.
Although I prepare structured lessons, I am flexible and always allow for some student-led learning based on interest. I enjoy incorporating current events into our readings, and learning about my students before creating lessons. I craft lessons based on student need, while adhering to the curriculum.
Every student I teach has special needs and abilities. When we meet I would like to learn something about your current abilities and your goals. I would ask you to take a short placement test to identify your strengths and weaknesses so that I can prepare a program of lessons to help you reach your goals.
I believe that everyone can learn English language. I do not believe in memorization. You have to act in this language and make it as your lifestyle. I try to find an individual approach to motivate students to master their abilities to speak in English. If a person is not motivated, he/she will NEVER EVER EVER learn it.
I base my language classes on communicative approaches with applying new technology tools. From the beginning, you're encouraged to use the language. I approach the subject though authentic examples from the real world, then you can use your knowledge immediately.
Over the first few classes, I assess the student's abilities and discover their goals. Most classes are spent on any combination of the following: reading, writing, vocabulary building, conversation, pronunciation, speech writing. My experience teaching students of different ages and cultures has made me a patient and versatile educator.
My teaching style is relaxed with the individual needs of the student in mind. I adapt my classes to the learning style of the student in order to insure student success. A typical class with me would include lots of student input and interaction.
Tutoring and lessons are available online. It is a stress-free environment. Caring, understanding, motivating and helpful. I focus on a Positive Learning environment! The classes are available for all ages and levels. What makes me special as a tutor is that I am very understanding and here to support you along the way 100%.
I engage my students with popular and controversial topics for critical thinking. I believe smaller classes are more conducive to inclusivity and learning.
My teaching methods are based on communicative methods and functions of the language rather than pure grammatical rules or set of vocabularies. * I focus on the learner's needs rather than the teaching materials. * I make sure my learners know where they are standing and where I am trying to take them.
I prefer to assess my students and then tailor their learning experience to their needs. I understand the frustration of learning a second language, and also realize that what the student wishes to learn might not be in the set form of a textbook. I design my own lessons to meet the students needs and interest.
My methodology is simple.
My teaching methods are; 1. Demonstration Lesson where in I will demonstrate the lesson then explain 2. Brainstorming where I let students give their possible idea about the lesson without judging them. 3.
I always try to create an adaptive schedule, so based on the student's needs and limits. If they comprehend more visually, I can edit a short video for them where they can watch on their free-time where I can slow down the video and show them how each muscle moves when pronouncing certain words. If they are more audible-learners, I can edit a short podcast where they can repeat on their own time.
Most English courses do not deepen the knowledge of the language, much less prepare students for an international proficiency test. Expressing yourself effectively and fluently is important but understanding how the test works will ensure you a high band at IELTS.
My objective is to help you improve and be confident. My approach will be tailored to your current skills and desired end point. Practice and feedback are the core approaches used. Theory, techniques and examples are added when appropriate.
I have an eclectic Methodology that fits in all the levels .I observe my students and determine what kind of meterials they need. All my students learn fast and they complete all the lacking parts of the Language. Please feel free to watch my videos on y.tb simply typing " Jim Kutlu" with my international students.
Everyone is different, they learn through different styles and at different rates. Therefore, I teach to my students and each session will be individualized to your unique needs. We will work together to see where you are currently at and from there set goals for where you would like to be and what you would like to learn and come out of this experience knowing.
My teaching methods would depend on your needs. We could go over academic content; if you have a presentation or speech, I can help you with pronunciation. If you prefer day-to-day conversations, then we could target things like ordering at a restaurant, scheduling an appointment, asking for directions, etc. I can also help you prepare for your TOEFL test.
My methodology depends on the needs of the student. For those looking for help with English as an additional language, I can be a conversation partner as well as a tutor in vocabulary and grammar. For those needing help in essay writing, I can provide exercises and tips on writing with style and clarity.
I engage students in the content that they are learning in order to make it more relevant and fun to learn. Students will see a dynamic learning environment with a lot of talking, conversing and relationship building. I will help and identify the most suitable learning strategy for your child.
I always loved when my previous teachers were engaging, interesting and had a fun and creative teaching method, which is what I attempt to do as well. I hope I can prove that to your child/children while tutoring them.
I normally base my classes on what is most necessary for the student to work on. I use a variety of methods, such as technology, conversation, work sheets and presentations.
