Super Tutor

Martin is one of our best Esl tutors. High-quality profile and excellent qualifications, organised and responsive to lesson requests, appreciated by their students!

About Martin

I am a science graduate from Concordia University with several years of medical school training and I acquired a TESOL certificate in 2012 after teaching ESL abroad for many years. I have ample experience teaching at private schools, remedial schools and businesses in Canada and Italy. Work experience in insurance, medical research and the arts milieu has not only facilitated my being able to teach ESL to insurance brokers, nurses and doctors but also construction engineers, accountants, and retirees etc.

About the lesson

I adapt my methodology to the student's needs. Lessons can be geared for entry to the university as has been done for Chinese Canadians following a GCE approach or helping employees prepare for a job promotion using the Interchange and Summit language book series

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by the teacher's students.

The student is motivated to converse more spontaneously. I only had an introductory lesson here so it is difficult to say how quickly she will be able to absorb new material and put that into practice but she understands that she may have to overcome some apprehension about making mistakes as she speaks. She should gain more self confidence sling the way as becomes more used to hearing herself speak and apply new vocabulary.

The student needs to improve his vocabulary and his ability to converse better, how to interject and elaborate on a topic.

Martin helped my daughter immensely when we first moved to Canada. He patiently walked her through everything—from the day-to-day basics she needed to get around town, to the trickier aspects of grammar and writing. He is incredibly experienced and knows exactly how to explain concepts in a way that makes sense to a beginner. Most importantly, he is so patient; he never made her feel nervous about making mistakes. My daughter’s English improved dramatically (she went from barely understanding the language to achieving the highest grade in English in her class in one year) and she now speaks with true confidence. I highly recommend Martin!

Martin and I met on a film set where he worked as an actor. During our intense shoot, he stayed calm and communicated clearly under pressure. He brings that exact focus and patience to his ESL classes. His teaching style is engaging, dynamic, and easy to follow. I strongly recommend Martin because he is professional, kind, and truly dedicated to his students' success.
