About Jude
I’m a piano teacher with over 8 years of experience and a Graduate Diploma in Piano Pedagogy. My goal is to help each student connect emotionally with the music they play. I believe that true musicianship comes from both technical skill and personal expression. In every lesson, I create a space where students can feel inspired, supported, and challenged. I place strong emphasis on foundational skills like pedal technique, dynamic control, and phrasing. These are the tools that bring music to life. I work with students of all ages and levels, always tailoring my approach to their needs and learning styles. Some students may focus on mastering classical repertoire, while others explore improvisation or personal projects. I love guiding students through the process of discovery, helping them express who they are through music. For me, it’s not just about playing the notes—it's about telling a story. I also encourage mindful practice and confidence-building through performance. Progress takes time, and I’m here for every step of that journey. My teaching approach blends classical piano technique with modern music technology to give students a well-rounded and exciting learning experience. I focus on building strong foundations in expression, rhythm, and finger control. Alongside traditional methods, I introduce students to digital pianos, synthesisers, and DAWs like GarageBand or Ableton Live. This opens up new creative ways to make and record music. Students also learn basic recording techniques, MIDI programming, and how to use effects to shape their sound. Whether it's a classical piece or an original track, I guide students to bring their ideas to life. I work especially well with those who are already strong performers or early starters, helping them explore the electronic side of piano music. By connecting classical skills with modern tools, I help them grow in new directions. Lessons are engaging, structured, and tailored to individual goals. I encourage curiosity, creativity, and consistency. Each student leaves with a broader view of what piano can be. Let’s make your piano sound bigger, brighter, and bolder.
