About Hope
As a passionate, enthusiastic and reliable individual I am eager to continue to promote and nurture a love and understanding of science with the students that I teach. It is also extremely important for me to create a safe and respectful learning environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and push themselves academically.
During my PhD I was also given responsibility for the 10-week research projects and lab supervision of a number of Pharmacy undergraduate students. Within this short period of time I really enjoyed observing, monitoring and guiding the progress these students had made with regards to subject knowledge, scientific writing, laboratory technique and overall confidence with their project and in their ability as scientists. I found this part of my time in Cardiff incredibly rewarding. These experiences also continued during my time as a teacher of science.
As a qualified teacher I have just under two years experience of teaching all sciences up to GCSE, and Biology/Chemistry up to A-Level. I thoroughly enjoy passing on my wealth of knowledge to students who are engaged and willing to learn.
