About Elhadji

My name is Elhadji (I go by Amadou), and I’m a native French speaker with extensive experience in both academic and conversational instruction. Beyond having grown up in a Francophone country, I served as a Teaching Assistant for the most advanced French course at Carleton College, where I supported students in mastering high-level language skills through literary analysis, structured discussion, and grammar refinement. As a tutor, I take pride in being clear, patient, and culturally attentive. About the lesson

I draw my approach from an advanced academic experience in language instruction. I served as a Teaching Assistant for the most advanced TA-led French course at Carleton College (FREN 103), where I worked closely with students to sharpen their oral fluency, writing skills, and cultural understanding in a rigorous academic setting. My approach is highly adaptable and student-centered: I design each lesson around your specific goals—whether you're preparing for AP or IB exams, working on college-level essays, aiming to improve your conversational fluency, or exploring French for travel or personal growth. A typical lesson includes an interactive warm-up, focused grammar or comprehension work, and personalized feedback to reinforce progress. I bring not just fluency, but deep insight into French and Francophone culture, academic expectations, and linguistic nuance.
