About Sarentha

I taught History and Geography at GCSE level and A level for 1 year. I worked with a group of 10 students preparing for their A levels in History and Geography. They all received grades within the A and B range and received admissions into the universities of their choice. I worked with some students preparing for their GCSE History and Geography and they also performed well in their final exams. I have participated in trainings and held a workshop for people doing their Certificate/Diploma in counselling. I also tutored first year psychology student during the last year of my BSc in Psychology and Counselling. I sometimes tutor some other peers doing their Masters who do not have a background in Psychology.

About the lesson

I don't believe reading every note and book possible on a certain topic or module is a good approach to learning. Personally, I am more of a visual learner, but I prefer to assess and find your learning style/approaches to learning for the student I work with and expand on that. I like to use illustrations, mind maps, videos and a problem based approaches to learning. For example, attempting some questions about the course material to see what you know and what you do not. However, this is open to amendments, again based on what the student prefers. I hate when students are bored in my lessons!! My goal is to teach you, not assess you, so I hope you gain a lot from my teaching.

Details

Travel costs are charged depend on how far student is from my location. If it is walkable distance then there are no charges for travel cost.
I also offer special sessions for exam prep, tariffs may differ depending on whether it involves travel or not.
Cancellations: If you wish to cancel the lessons please do so 24 HOURS beforehand.
