About Niva
With over 14 years of experience, I specialize in teaching piano to college students, helping them develop both technical skills and a deeper love for music. My teaching style is centered around making learning enjoyable and engaging. I focus on real-life examples and case studies, which help students see the practical applications of what they’re learning. This approach not only makes lessons more interesting but also gives students a sense of accomplishment as they connect what they play to everyday life. I believe in a collaborative approach, where students and I work together to set clear goals and track progress. I also use innovative methods to keep students motivated, including personalized lesson plans and integrating music theory with performance practice. My aim is to create an environment where students feel comfortable, inspired, and excited to learn. Whether mastering a classical piece or exploring contemporary music, I guide my students with patience and support, helping them unlock their full musical potential.

My teaching methodology for piano focuses on Real-life examples and case studies, Collaboration, and Patience. I believe that understanding how music connects to everyday life makes learning more meaningful. By using real-world examples and case studies, I help students see the practical applications of piano skills, whether it's playing a favorite song or composing original pieces. This approach helps students relate what they’re learning to things they care about, making practice more engaging and enjoyable.
Collaboration is key in my lessons. I encourage students to actively participate in their learning, ask questions, and work together with me to achieve their goals. I believe that when students feel involved and supported, they make greater progress.
Patience is at the core of my teaching. I understand that piano can be challenging at times, and I make sure to give students the time and space they need to build their skills at their own pace. Whether learning the basics or exploring advanced techniques, my goal is to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel confident in their abilities.
In addition to piano, I can also teach music theory and other subjects related to music.
