About Nathaniel
I am a dedicated piano tutor with 7 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Music. My passion for teaching comes from a deep appreciation for the piano’s expressive range and a desire to help others discover their own musical voice. I strive to create a space where students feel inspired to learn, improve, and enjoy the journey of making music. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with students of all ages and skill levels. From young beginners learning their first notes to adults returning to piano after years away, I enjoy adapting my teaching style to suit each individual's needs and goals. My approach is structured yet flexible, blending discipline with encouragement to foster both technical growth and personal expression. I place strong emphasis on musical fundamentals—technique, theory, and sight-reading—while also encouraging creativity and interpretation. Music should never feel rigid or mechanical, and I guide my students to explore dynamics, phrasing, and musical storytelling in their playing. I believe these elements are what transform notes into music. What I enjoy most about teaching is witnessing students gain confidence and experience moments of real connection through their playing. It’s fulfilling to watch their progress unfold and to know I’ve contributed to their musical journey.
