About Ranya

Hiya! My name is Ranya. I'm a 22 year old professional musician across Asia and UK. I grew up taking vocal classes while performing, writing and collaborating with other musicians back home in Singapore, and moved to England last year to complete my university degree. I also founded a band there while studying called Arrivederci. We gigged at some of the biggest venues in Falmouth including The Upperdeck and The Cornish Bank.

I now hold a BA(Hons) in Pop Music from Falmouth University, where I graduated with First Class Honors in Pop Vocals, Songwriting, and Production. My academic background enriches my teaching, allowing me to seamlessly blend theoretical knowledge with practical application.

Over the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching professional vocals to nearly 80 students, online and in-person with 40 of them continuing as weekly recurring students. My goal is to inspire each student to reach their full potential and enjoy every step of their musical journey.

About the lesson

I'm a contemporary vocal coach with a passion for guiding singers of all levels—from beginners with little to no pitch experience to advanced vocal performers—on their musical journey.

My classes encompass a wide range of essential skills, including breathing techniques, expanding vocal range, performance strategies, repertoire building, and the theoretical knowledge required for ABRSM and Trinity College assessments.

Due to my involvement in the music scene, my teaching philosophy goes beyond traditional classroom methods. I actively organize extracurricular activities that challenge students to step outside their comfort zones and evolve into confident, extroverted performers and leaders in music. This includes arranging performances and collaborative lessons that foster interaction and growth.

I take pride in creating a nurturing environment where students are encouraged to explore their artistic expression and refine their musical talents.
