That passion led me to earn a BSc in Ecology from the University of Pretoria and to build a career in aquaponics, environmental sustainability, and food security—fields where science truly comes alive. Now, I bring that same energy and love for the living world into my Biology and Geography tutoring. I believe learning should be meaningful and connected to real life. My lessons are not just about passing exams—they're about understanding how everything in nature fits together and why it matters. Whether we’re unpacking ecosystems or exploring plate tectonics, I aim to spark curiosity, build confidence, and make the content stick. With years of hands-on experience—from founding an aquaponics business to presenting at international science conferences—I know how to bridge the gap between theory and practice. I teach in English and Afrikaans, and my approach is personal, calm, and structured around your pace and goals. About the lesson

As a private tutor, my approach is rooted in clarity, curiosity, and connection to the real world. With a BSc in Ecology and hands-on experience in environmental science and sustainable agriculture, I bring more than just textbook knowledge—I bring subjects to life. My Methodology I use a practical, student-centered teaching style that goes beyond rote learning. Lessons are interactive and visual, often including diagrams, real-world examples, mini case studies, and active recall techniques. I believe students learn best when they understand the “why” behind the content, so I focus on building conceptual understanding and critical thinking. What makes my teaching unique is how I blend academic content with real-life applications—from aquaponics and conservation projects to climate science and land use. This helps students connect classroom theory with tangible, memorable experiences. Languages I teach fluently in English and Afrikaans, adapting my communication to suit each student’s comfort level and learning style.
