About Sam
I am a recent graduate from one of the finest film schools in the country, using my illustration skills to make a name for myself as one of the top storyboard artists in the year. I have my own comic book series that I write and illustrate myself, and experience creating storyboards for feature films. I have studied books on narrative and story in order to cultivate a further understanding of how we read visual literacy. Above all, I want to show my students that developing this skill will allow them to apply themselves to any job with a clearer understanding of perception and design itself.

I plan to teach the principles of capturing and interpreting reality. I will discuss the use of tone and lighting in artwork and create a path towards being able to accurately capture reality with and without a reference. I will discuss the importance of composition illustration and design, and how skills can be applied in a professional sense. Each lesson will be an hour-long and specifically structured to get the most out of each session. My classes are for 15-18-year-olds who have a passion for drawing and wish to take their art to the next level.
