About Stuart

I am currently a recent finance graduate from the University of Cape Town. I have been tutoring for the past 3 years. Love my sport, adventure and travel. I believe in being a role model/mentor and not just seen as a tutor. I like to build a personal connection with my student as it makes lessons much more comfortable and the student is more open to using questions when stuck. My teaching style is getting the student to tell me what they know and then work out a structure of what he/she does not know and how to achieve a goal of learning from then onwards. Work from the section he/she finds the hardest in the beginning of the session when they are fresh and alert and work towards the easiest at the end. I believe in writing down what you know as well as practice, practice and practice. Tutored mainly maths, statistics and economics. Have worked from primary (all subjects) to university students.
