About Maeve
I teach piano with a focus on building both skill and confidence. With an Associate of Music in Piano Skills and 9 years of teaching experience, I’ve helped students prepare for diverse performance opportunities. Many of my students aim to lead worship, accompany theatre productions, or perform in wedding bands. These settings require more than technical ability. They require presence, professionalism, and flexibility. My lessons are designed to meet each student where they are. I provide encouragement, structure, and personalised guidance. Worship pianists learn to connect music with the flow of a service. Theatre accompanists develop timing and collaboration skills. Wedding musicians practise consistency and artistry for special events. Every lesson blends technical growth with real-world preparation. I believe that motivated students become confident performers. My goal is to help you bring music to life in the roles that matter most.

I teach piano with a focus on popular styles and practical skills. Pop piano techniques are central to my lessons, making learning both fun and useful. Students practise playing by ear, which builds independence and confidence. I also teach chord voicings, helping you create the rich sounds you hear in modern songs. Arranging contemporary pieces is included, so your playing feels complete and professional. I enjoy working with adults who want to play as a hobby, and with students eager to perform pop songs. Every lesson is designed to be motivating and personal. I encourage you to play music that excites you. Sessions are interactive and always connected to real songs. You’ll develop skills in rhythm, groove, and creative expression. My method ensures steady progress without losing the fun. Piano should feel joyful, not overwhelming. Together, we’ll unlock the secrets of pop piano.
