About Zakariya
I am a Math, English and Science tutor and upcoming ESL Teacher. I have been tutoring for almost a year. I am seeing excellent results so far and looking to take my tutoring to the next level here.
In the past, I worked as a University Teaching Assistant for two academic semester's at the University of Ottawa and as a Government Project Officer at the Canadian Nuclear Safety Comission. Further, I worked in the Security, Sales and Technical and Customer Support Sectors.
My formal education and work experience provided me with excellent active listening skills, verbal and written communication skills. I always approach any subject or topic with a positive attitude to promote confidence in my clients and foster a suitable learning environment.

I base my sessions on in class topics being taught. I like to get my students interactive and exposed to the material as much as possible in order to get the most effective results. I do this by ensuring my clients understand the theoretical concepts to be able to apply them to knowledge and problem solving questions. I also followup with clients to know quiz and test results to continuously improve on future tests. I also explain the topics in multiple ways until clients fully understand the concepts. I also like to see the client do as much application as possible in the session to promote confidence in themselves. I find when my clients are confident, they stress less about the material and the course and perform much better because they focus on understanding the concepts.
