About Hope
Physics has been my passion since I first studied Space and Planetary Science at university. Now, with over five years of tutoring experience, I specialize in helping students excel at IGCSE and A-Level Physics. Mechanics, electricity, and waves are my strongest areas, though I cover the entire syllabus. I combine detailed explanations with practical demonstrations to make concepts clear. Derivations are central to my teaching, as they allow students to understand how equations are built. I also place great emphasis on past paper practice, since exam technique is just as important as knowledge. Many students find that once they see patterns in the questions, their confidence grows. My teaching style is patient and methodical, but I also keep lessons interactive and enjoyable. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, no matter how small. The best part of my work is seeing students go from uncertainty to mastery. Together, we can break down difficult Physics topics and turn them into your strengths.

I believe Physics should be taught in a way that is both systematic and creative. My lessons focus on making concepts clear through step-by-step explanations. Subjects like thermodynamics, states of matter, and gas laws are explored not just through theory but also through experiments. I use a “gadget hacker” style, showing how everyday objects can demonstrate Physics in action. This experimental approach helps students connect abstract principles with real-world behaviors. Derivations are also central to my method, ensuring that equations are understood at a deeper level. Past papers are used to practice solving problems under exam-style conditions. I provide regular, constructive feedback so students know how to keep improving. Energy, in particular, is a unifying theme across my lessons, helping learners see the bigger picture. My teaching style is flexible and responsive to individual needs. Physics becomes less intimidating when broken into smaller steps. With support and persistence, every student can succeed and even enjoy the subject.
