About Salomé
I am in my first year studies at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, with a double degree in law and history. Formerly at the Lycée Montaigne in Paris, I made a language trip to England in order to improve my English. I am French and I mainly learned English on my own, but also thanks to a family member who is Canadian. I am currently at the level of English C1 according to a form, from my university. I seek to acquire the level C2 in order to be able to go for a year to continue my studies of law in an Anglo-Saxon country.

I have never given an English course before (apart from some of my fellow students in difficulty), but it seems particularly important to me to make the class lively and free. I learned English through the movies and music that made my teenage hood, and it seems to me to be the best way to understand this language. I will therefore organize my teaching as follows : firstly, it will be a question of establishing a dialogue in English with the student on his areas of interest, his passions, but also on topical subjects; then, I will suggest to the student to watch an excerpt from a film, a video or even to listen to a music then to make an oral return, to engage in a discussion both on what we have just seen / listen. Finally, in a fourth and last step I will give him/her notions of grammar and vocabulary oriented on the subject which we have just discussed in order to allow him to deepen his notions in English. In my opinion, the key to language teaching is that it has to be alive, through discussion, combined with more theoretical notions (grammar, vocabulary, conjugation) enabling the student to better understand the language.
