About Emilio
I was born in Juarez, Mexico, and raised in El Paso, Texas. My current passions/hobbies include: playing jazz guitar; music production; mathematics; chess; and hiking. I first studied electrical engineering at the University of Texas at El Paso, but transferred to the University of North Texas after 2 years of study. I'm currently in my last year of study, after which I plan on becoming a signal processing engineer, hopefully in the field of music electronics.

Apart from a strong and rigorous background in many STEM fields, I've many years of experience with one-on-one mathematics tutoring, both paid and unpaid. I've become familiar with the nuances of teaching mathematics, and have realized important strategies that produce the most effective results. Whether the tutoring be for an engineering undergrad taking an electromagnetic field theory class or a middle schooler taking an algebra course for the first time, I'll make sure to craft a lesson plan that caters to the client's strengths and weaknesses. Mathematics has been a passion of mine for a while, and the enthusiasm I present as I teach it has done a great deal in helping keep students focused and interested.
