About Kat
I am a rising junior at Elon University. I plan to major in English with a concentration in creative writing, as well as double minor in art and game design.
I had a 4.0 GPA throughout my high school years, and am currently maintaining a 3.8 GPA. I have written a thesis and antithesis twice so far in my academic career. I am also part of Elon's College Fellows program, which is an advanced research based program at my university.
Writing and literature have always been my strongest subjects. In terms of writing, I have studied creative, essay and research based, and poetry. In literature/English, I have studied books from many different authors, such as Homer's Iliad, John Milton's Paradise Lost, and Charles Dicken's Great Expectations. Of course I love modern literature too, with short story collections currently being the focus of many of my classes.

I am a rising junior at Elon University who is majoring in English with a concentration in creative writing. However, I can help with any kind of writing, from creative or poetry to non-fiction and research essays. I can also assist with anything literature based (summer reading, English classes, book discussion, etc.). I really enjoy these subjects, and I hope to help anyone I'm tutoring grow to enjoy them just as much.
My lesson plans would vary based on what I'm helping with; I will also talk with the student in order to see what they would find to be most helpful to focus on.
My techniques will be hands on and discussion-based; for writing students, writing exercises will be worked on, while literature students will focus on reading discussion and analysis. I can also offer research assistance and tips, with the experience of having written a thesis.
I can help anyone from rising first graders to rising twelfth graders.
