About Raulanda
I’m a professor of English who loves helping students discover their voice and feel more confident in their reading and writing. Over the years, I’ve worked with many high school and college students, guiding them through essays, assignments, and big ideas. My goal is to make learning supportive, practical, and even enjoyable—and to show how writing connects to your personal interests and professional goals, making the work feel meaningful beyond the classroom.

I know that reading and writing can feel overwhelming at times, especially when assignments pile up or expectations feel unclear. My job is to break things down into simple steps, give you tools that actually work, and help you find confidence in your own voice. I use real examples, active practice, and lots of encouragement so you can see your progress right away.
What a Lesson Looks Like
We’ll start by checking in on your goals and what you’re working on.
Then, we’ll focus on one skill—maybe writing a stronger thesis, organizing your ideas, or sharpening your reading strategies.
You’ll get plenty of practice time, where we work through drafts, essays, or readings together.
Before we finish, I’ll share clear feedback and give you specific next steps so you always know what to work on.
