About Breno

My vocal teaching approach is rooted in collaborative learning, emphasizing the importance of communication, listening, and teamwork in music. Drawing from years of experience coaching ensemble singers, choirs, and duos, I use duet sessions, harmony-building exercises, and call-and-response techniques to foster real-time musical dialogue between students. By engaging in group dynamics, students learn to adjust pitch, rhythm, and phrasing based on context—essential skills for auditions, choirs, and live performance. This collaborative setting builds emotional intelligence, peer feedback skills, and confidence, allowing students to feel part of a musical community. I encourage reflection and discussion after each duet or exercise, teaching students how to give and receive constructive criticism. This cultivates not just better vocalists, but better communicators and teammates. Through collaborative learning, my students gain a deeper appreciation for the interconnected nature of vocal performance.

About the lesson

As a seasoned singing tutor with 9 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of teaching over 300 high school and college students, each with diverse backgrounds and musical interests. My teaching philosophy centers on individualized instruction, where each lesson is tailored to the student's unique voice and goals. I work closely with students to simplify complex vocal techniques, ensuring they understand the mechanics of breathing, resonance, and pitch control in a way that is both easy to grasp and effective.

My approach incorporates innovative teaching methods such as vocal exercises, performance coaching, and ear training, all designed to build a well-rounded and confident vocalist. Whether a student is preparing for an audition or looking to improve their vocal range, I provide clear, structured guidance to ensure steady progress.

I pride myself on my ability to adapt to each student's needs, whether they are beginners or advanced singers, helping them develop a strong technical foundation and find their own unique vocal sound. Many of my students have gone on to pursue music at the collegiate level and succeed in professional auditions.
