As a teacher I have held a studio since 2012, and have studied the methodologies of Kato Havas, Paul Roland, and Mimi Zweig. I am also an accredited teacher in the Suzuki method, and have trained with Paule Barselou, and Dr. Katie Schlaikjer. I have completed violin and theory exams in the RCM method and I am able and willing to prepare students for these accreditations.
My teaching methods are both from instructural books, visual and practical tailored to each student's ability, emphasizing on rhythm, right/left hand techniques, also chord progressions.Seek to equip students with the performance, composition and theoretical skills that will see them excel no matter which path they take in music.
I'm very open minded and like to cater my classes to each students wants and needs and do my best to make it as interesting, fun and engaging as possible.
I am quite flexible with the repertoire a student would like to follow, and am able to support the student in whichever direction they would like to go. For aspiring classical musicians, I usually point them towards the Royal Conservatory Program and work towards mastery and understanding of the works presented.
1-on-1 approach tailored to the needs of the student regarding technique and music understanding/interpretation. Capable of teaching how to both improvise and to read sheet music. Able to use the RCM material, prepare for exams, etc.
These classes are meant for the young learners interested in becoming new musicians. I am not teaching how to play an instrument, but if you are struggling to learn how to read music or music theory that I can help with.
My typical teaching methods for my students is basically showing them instructional materials which will make them participate with the class and at the same time will show interest in our lesson. my classes will be meant for pre-school to grade school children.
For college preparation exams, 'The Barbara Harris' books are a must as they cover all aspects of basic rudiments in one source. For classical guitar: Aaron Shearer method, the R.C.M. grades 1-10 and scale book and supplementary exercises not in the books (eg, 120 Guiliani studies for guitar).
I can provide service on Weekends, too I do not charge much and it is more like having fun and getting involved in the community and the Kitchener/Waterloo area as a newcomer.
I think the most important thing is making students to interest in the piece they learn. Because only they have interests, they can study better. So I'll try to motivate them, including introducing background information, let them singing and listening some songful songs.
My teaching method is to be more calme and relatable. I try to teach using some interesting points where the student won't be bored. I try to make it fun and appealing by inco-operating modern music and styles in my lessons.
I use the RCM syllabus for the basis of my lessons. It progresses at a good pace for most students. If you are more into playing pop for fun, we can do that too! Again, RCM has a great pop selections list for piano that I suggest working from once we get to that level. Guitar classes always start out with note reading to help you learn the fret board.
I will tailor my lessons to the needs of the student! We will spend a couple classes figuring out what learning strategy is best for the individual and go from there! Lesson/learning/pracrice plans will be created and provided for student.
Theaching is lovely work for me. Because you pave the way for learning music. You can grow up a musician who is your successor. And of course you learn more at the same time. i approach to stuudent so patioantly. Because The student should be traunqil.
My teaching is base on humanistic, behaviorist, cognitive, cooperative learning. I applied hands on and group discussion while teaching. My concern while teaching targets on every individual as every students learn in a different ways and so it is vital and crucial for me to understand the emotion and learning capacity of every individual learner in my class.
My teaching methods are primarily through experiential learning. I believe that hands on experience allows the most efficient method for learning. Im a typical class, I would go through a specific topic with a student only to have them build on it through craft and observation. Because of this form of experiential learning, nay methodology is primarily suited for students between the age of 4-8.
I like to start with a fun piano course such as the Alfred's all in one piano method. Then I can add the RC repertoire if the student wishes to learn that method later on. I like to teach children and adults theory and music pieces on piano.
I believe in practical teaching where you experiment and develop intentionally a specific set of skills.
I have a student-centered approach to teaching, focused on implementing a personalized curriculum to best meet the student's needs. I am an energetic and passionate musician, and I always focus on encouraging and motivating my students. I believe in setting goals but also teaching at the student's pace.
Teaching an instrument depends on the students current level. Beginners can expect to learn basic exercises designed to improve finger strength and dexterity, note positions and chords, as well as learning songs they enjoy (very important).
My technique is simple since I go with the conviction that every person can be taught if we apply the right method. This means discovering firstly, how the child perceives information received and transmit by hearing, seeing and touching, which are the three educational senses.
I believe in allowing a student to guide their own learning. This means that I am flexible to work with a student to provide them with the most rewarding and engaging education to truly foster a passion and appreciation for music. I believe in strongly encouraging a student to become as devoted to practice and learning as they can be, in the ways that will best suit themselves.
I use various teaching methods depending on the student's ability to understand and grasp the information. It's not only a fun experience but also very useful for beginners that are passionate about music.
My teaching methods are based in the school of Bel Canto, created with the intention of every breath being capable of producing both beautiful melody and efficient diction. I focus predominantly on the breath and the structure of both the body (with emphasis on the chest, diaphragm and shoulders) and the mouth.
I base my lessons on the students needs and preferences.
I give an opportunity to awaken music in you and guide you to achieve your personal goals using my years of experience and individual methods for each and every student.
I am a positive, supportive and a caring teacher. I believe that every student is unique, therefore the methodology applied varies depending on the student’s strengths and weaknesses. I am a professional flutist with minor in piano and I have been teaching all over the world.
My teaching methods include teaching students self-disciplinary skills, music theory, important skills, piano technique, and homework that is engaging, easily understood, and practical for building fundamental skills. Also, my teaching methods change with varying students. ie. Most older students will be taught with different discipline and skills.
My teaching approach prizes individual abilities, curiosity and character development. I want each student to reach their potential in their own unique way, and to develop their self identity a long the way.
For the students who want to learn piano as an interest, I am going to them the basic music theories and reading skills. For the students who want to learn piano as a profession, I am going to teach them in a professional way.
