About Ira
My Physics lessons are built around real-world engineering problems that make theory come alive. I take a relaxed, application-focused approach that helps you truly understand how physics works in practical designs. Whether we’re studying materials science, fluid dynamics, or statics and dynamics, every concept is linked to something useful and hands-on. We’ll analyze how bridges hold weight, how machines move, and how fluids behave in pipes and engines. I often use case studies, simple simulations, and design challenges to connect physics with real engineering decisions. These lessons are ideal if you're aiming to become a better problem-solver or preparing for work in research or technical fields. We’ll look at why certain materials are chosen in construction, how pressure affects flow in systems, and what forces act on structures under stress. My goal is to help you develop both intuition and calculation skills. You'll learn to think like an engineer—applying physics to improve, design, and analyze the world around you. I support students who want to excel beyond exams and step confidently into their careers. Each lesson builds your skills and confidence. Let’s build your understanding of the physical world, one engineering challenge at a time!

With over 8 years of experience as a Physics tutor and a BSc in Biophysics, I specialize in helping students explore the fascinating world of applied optics. My passion lies in breaking down complex concepts like light propagation, total internal reflection, and lens design into practical, relatable lessons. From the workings of fiber optic cables in modern telecommunications to the precision of high-resolution microscopes in biomedical labs, I guide students through the real-world impact of optical physics.
Whether we're tracing rays through multi-lens systems or modeling image formation, my sessions are hands-on and example-rich. I’ve supported high school learners as well as university students aiming for careers in engineering and medical technology. My background helps me connect physics theory to its application in surgical imaging tools, diagnostic devices, and network infrastructure.
We don’t just study formulas—we explore how manipulating light solves real problems. I also help students build critical thinking and design skills essential for developing future tech. Many of my learners have gone on to work on exciting projects in biomedical optics and photonics.
