About Richa

I am a postgraduate in Foods and Nutrition from the most reputed universities with excellent academic grades. My academic credentials have helped me in delivering the most fruitful results. With over five years of professional teaching experience, I have offered teaching services to more than 500 students belonging to different nations, including Australia, Sweden, Canada, USA, and India. I have taught students at University VNSGU and VVWU in the food science and nutrition department. I am a friendly and passionate tutor who loves helping students build confidence in their academic abilities. I am versed in a number of strategies that are easy to adopt and implement both at home and in the classroom. I can help someone majoring in Food Technology to learn about the scientific composition of foods and the chemical reactions that take place during processing. I can help them examine key aspects in the development of food products and develop expertise in food preservation, processing operations, quality assurance, and consumer product testing. I have been applying my knowledge and building industry connections during my work placements at leading food manufacturing organizations. I also have experience in working in areas such as product development, quality assurance and food safety, food microbiology, research and development, food standards and policy, or sales and marketing. I have learned skills and techniques to explain the concepts effectively. A combination of skills, techniques, and oratory skills furnishes outstanding results for my students. I have been involved in my private as well as institutional coaching in India for the last five years. My students have cracked exams with excellent grades and have qualified for top universities.

Find out more about Richa

  • When did you start practising? How did this passion find you?

My parents' ultimate goal is to provide us with the best education. I have been blessed with exceptional academic endowments offered by my mother, who was a teacher. Along with my undergraduate studies, I taught primary and secondary students, which has created a significant advantage in developing me professionally. Coming from a teaching background, I was fascinated by entering the academic world. After that, I was fortunate enough to work as an Assistant professor at the University in India, where I used to impart education to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Which artists or works inspire you the most?

My first and foremost role model is my mother. Her patience and detail-oriented approach toward every task inspired me. I was lucky to study under the guidance of some truly great teachers during my schooling years.
  • What are the specific qualities or skills required to succeed in this area?

A competent instructor has strong ethics, adaptability, comprehensive knowledge of the subject, and good explaining abilities. A tutor should be able to identify the needs of the student and schedule sessions appropriately to provide relevant input to the students within the time limits and resources.
  • What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?

My advice is to stop procrastination and take action according to the work plan, and put energy into the things that you love, the things that light you up, and not staring at the things you feel you “should be working on.”
  • How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?

I am enthusiastic about the subjects I teach, particularly food science. Furthermore, because I can effectively pass on the lessons to others, it gives me a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment to empower people with knowledge and insight.
  • What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

As a tutor, I feel amazing seeing my students pursuing outstanding achievements in their careers. Furthermore, when my teaching makes students comfortable and tense-free. Moreover, when my students can excel in their pathways, I feel proud and satisfied with my work.
  • Have you ever been surprised by a student, by their ability or quick progression?

Students are highly talented, and we need to encourage them in things that are hidden in them. When I was a professor in college, I met a student who was average in his studies after gaining skills in standardisation and formulation of innovative products. He was the one who launched a product and secured the highest profit during that year by selling the product.
  • Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

A Superprof can communicate successfully with students, connect with them and understand their needs, provide them with relevant value teachings, and create long-term relationships.
