About David
G'day, I believe the best way to learn a language is to use the language as much as possible. Many people have found success by travelling to a foreign country and fully embracing the culture and way of life, even if they don’t speak the language beforehand.
I graduated from the University of Queensland with a master degree in Business, and I also hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and current QLD Blue Card.
At the moment I am working at the University of Queensland as a tutor and working as a Chinese language tutor at my own time.

In my classes, I aim to offer a taste of this sort of immersive experience, with conversations in simulated scenarios such as ordering food (always a very important topic for Chinese people), but using the conversational everyday language that is easy for both the speaker and listener to understand.
My aim is to offer language classes that will help you achieve your goals. I like to spend our first class getting to know each other and chatting about your ideal learning outcomes and learning style, so that I can customise classes to suit you. For example, while teaching I can work through the theory and structure of the language with you, or we can skip the theory altogether and really focus on building your confidence with the spoken language. It’s up to you.
