I have rich training and experience in student-centered learning, task-based instruction, and curriculum development. I have taught for both lower and higher levels of Chinese courses.
- I prefer to interact as much as possible with the students - I tell real fascinating stories about China today - I understand very well the western mentality and apply it in the lesson - Well educated in China, I have authentic pronunciation
My methods for teaching Chinese is: Encouraging my students to get more practice in communication and writing, make the Chinese learning fun and effective.
•Taught students clearly and professionally, improving their listening, reading and speaking •Provided students with effective and descriptive feedback to guide progress •Enhanced cultural content and linguistic knowledge of students Class: Casual conversation (Colors, Weather, Days, Sports, Hobbies, Family…etc.
Based on my own language learning experience, I'd like to help learners find their interest, which will give them a good start of a better understanding of a new language. This will always keep them motivated in learning the language, which is super important. After they get familiar with related words and expressions, I will introduce them more difficult and relevant things to learn.
I usually let the person I'm helping with to choose the part of the subject that most interests him/her, and I will start right there just to establish a feeling of fun, not fear against the subject. (Studying is always hard, but we can still get a bit fun from it!) I can be really flexible with the content of tutoring, and I can prepare a unique curriculum for each person if they want.
•Taught students clearly and professionally, improving their listening, reading and speaking •Provided students with effective and descriptive feedback to guide progress •Enhanced cultural content and linguistic knowledge of students Class: Casual chit-chat conversation (Greeting, Weather, Days, Sports, Hobbies, Family…etc.
My teaching methodology is being a friend of your student first. Learning a new language always hard, but talking to your friend is much easier. During my more than 15 years marketing experience, I met lots of different customers and trained lots of different new staffs.
My teaching is focus on practical application of knowledge. I usually first presents new concepts and theories to students and then encourage them to apply the knowledge into practice. For example, in my past coding class, I demonstrated how to code in front of class and then assign a task to let them solve.
I prefer giving individual attention to my students. Because to have another language is to possess a second soul. Students are empty vessels whos knowledge is filled with correct information provided by there teacher. learning a new language is an asset for the individual.
Firstly, I would like to know the aim or goal of the student. Then, I will make a customized learning plan for every student.
I like to use different interesting ways to teach, like drawing, graphing and watching videos. I will give the student a specific scenario, let him/her imagine and describe what is happening. Pictures are very helpful, I will use pictures to let the student express what he/she sees and then I'll know the student's language level and thus give him/her different methods to improve.
I always believe that learning comes from life. We need build the language environment. I will use the cards with pictures and words to make you easily remember the pronunciations and meanings of the words. After you learn the certain amount of words, the simple sentences are not difficult any more. The different person has different personality.
My teaching contents are various based on the language level of students. For people who just starts to learn, I will focus more on grammar. And for those who have learned Chinese, I prefer to teach my class with different topics each time.
I am especially interested in learning languages. I grew up in a bilingual family and I have the gift to distinguish the minor difference between different languages. It proves that by noticing the differences help non-native speakers pronounce much better! The most funny thing I found is that, Cantonese has nine different tones while Mandarin has five.
I can help to learn Chinese, how to pronounce, how to write, how to chat with people in appropriate way. I can also help people to pass the Chinese language course exam, if anything related to Chinese is needed, I am here to help.
The vital element in learning Chinese int he very beginning, I have learned, is the sound system, that is, one has got to get it right, before moving on to what comes next. Without a doubt, one of the hardest things about a sound system is that there may be many sounds one does not know how to make....
Basically is just like “operant conditioning”. Give rewards when students did well, give punishment when students are irresponsible, for example, not doing homework. Of course, I will ask students’ parent premission first. If parents do not want any punishments, I will not punish students.
My teaching method is interactive and divergent. A typical class would be the student bring me the translation work she/he did and we go over it together, alongside with doing so, we diverge to new words and expressions. We will later have a real time oral translating session, where I correct him/her during it.
I teach my students based on their ability to absorb knowledge. I observe them in the first few sessions and try different methods until the one they feel the best. Then I explain not only the knowledge but the whole way of thinking to enable them to understand on their own.
With my experience of learning English and understanding of Mandarin, I can help you improve your speaking Chinese quickly. Pinyin of Chinese is similar with phonetic alphabet of English. I can help English speakers master Pinyin in an efficient way without accents.
My teaching method is to provide students as many chances as possible to practice speaking and listening. As I believe that picking up a new language is a process of training our tongue muscles moving in a different way. Only tons of practice can make it perfect.
-My teaching methodology is basically student-centered. -My teaching pace varies a lot depending on how much students can take. - I am not a speech giver, but a guider and observer and a good partner in language study. - I want the lessons to be practical and have real-world connection.
My teaching method is putting what I want to teach in games and interesting interactions with students and then emphasize the daily learning points to students. I was an early childhood educator before I study in Canda. I have a passion for teaching and know how to encourage my students. I will also make learning Chinese a lot of fun instead of boring remember words.
I based my classes on how native Chinese children learn Mandarin. I also include games in my lessons. I want my student to have fun learning the new language. Mandarin is not complicated in terms of grammar, I am more focused on the vocabulary, speaking and listening part. I know the memorizing part is not the funniest part, but I will make it as easy as possible for you.
Working as a private English tutor previously, the student I taught was a high school student who was preparing college entrance examination. Based on my experience, I tutor him in four parts: grammar, listening, vocabulary and writing. Grammar contains clause, tense and voice. Listening includes playing record and asking him to repeat what it said.
I don't like to formal way to teach and study. I would like to be friends with all of you guys and try to apply knowledge (Chinese in this class) into conversation,so most of you can learn while practice in class and achieve the ideal result.
When learning Chinese, practice and patience is very important. Besides, I consider background information is essential. If students are interested in the lesson, they will study harder. Except basic knowledge from the lesson, I will also try to help students generate new ideas by asking questions, doing worksheets, or playing games.
My teaching methodology would be mostly through role play, lecture, and give out some small projects such as do a small report about a Chinese movie they choose or some document about China and things in Chinese history. Also things like let them talk with me everytime they come to class in Mandarin.
I intend to create a fun and relax vibe for students. I encourage everyone not afraid to make mistakes because that's how we learn. The best method to learn a new language is through using it. I will encourage students to talk more, and I will be a director rather a dictator.
To be sure of the quality of our tutors and teachers and their lessons, we collect the reviews of former students.
These reviews are authentic and guaranteed by Superprof.
Perfect! Lydia is very nice and enthusiastic on our first lesson. She came well-prepared with premade powerpoint slides and documents. She carried out our lesson professionally with care of whether or not I understand the materials. Therefore, I understand...
