About Griffin

I hold a first-class honours degree in Theoretical Physics from Imperial College London, where I placed in the top 5 students in my year. I am currently a PhD student in nuclear fusion and plasma physics and regularly publish and present in international journals and conferences.

I have over 200 hours of tutoring experience, at all levels from GCSE to degree level, and have helped over 10 past students achieve their desired grades at GCSE and A-Level. My tutoring style is extremely flexible, and I pride myself on being able to adapt it to suit any student. If something isn’t working for you, let me know, and I will happily change it. My job is to help you excel, and I will do my utmost to ensure that is the case. At the beginning of the tuition period, we will clearly and honestly set out long-term goals that you want to achieve, and talk about the best way to achieve these. This will let me set out a plan for your tuition, which we can then review every lesson.

I absolutely love teaching, I am passionate about helping you enjoy lessons and get what you need out of them and I will work tirelessly to ensure you get the grades you want and deserve.

About the lesson

I pride myself on adapting my teaching style for each individual student. I will try to find an explanation for each topic, before moving on to examples and practice questions to make sure that you are ready to answer any question that might come your way.

Tutoring is about you personally - everyone has their own unique learning style. I believe strongly in changing what I'm doing to make sure that my teaching is a good fit to you. I make sure that my lessons are a collaborative and friendly atmosphere where my students can always be honest with me about how things are going.

Perfect! absolutely excellent
Griffin tutored my son who was doing a Maths Physics and Chemistry A level, due to the difficult circumstances over the previous year he had some difficulties with his grades and wished to increase his confidence as this was his main drawback. He believed that he might not be able to do achieve what he deserved due to his disappointing grades in the past. After a few months of tutoring with Griffin he felt far more confident and was more proficient in his subjects. His grades at the start of year 13 were CCD and now at the end of his year he is predicted AAA and now both him and his teachers are confident those are the grades he will achieve.
