About Jaxson
I’m a singing tutor with over 9 years of experience and an Advanced Diploma in Singing. I specialise in teaching young children and early teens through creative and playful methods. My lessons often include games, movement, and storytelling to make learning pitch, rhythm, and vocal basics fun and engaging. I love working with folk songs, Disney tunes, and musicals, which are perfect for building age-appropriate technique while keeping students excited. My approach focuses on nurturing confidence and developing strong listening skills. I believe that joy in music-making is just as important as technical progress. Each lesson is designed to create a safe, supportive space where young voices can explore and grow. I encourage creativity and expression, helping students feel proud of their unique sound. Learning to sing should be fun and exciting, and I’m passionate about making that a reality for every child I teach. Together, we’ll build a strong foundation while enjoying every step of the musical journey. Singing can be a wonderful adventure, and I’m here to guide and inspire along the way.

My singing methodology focuses on vocal wellness and mindfulness to support long-term voice care for both The Soloist in Training and The Church Ensemble Player. Warm-ups are essential—they gently prepare the voice and body, preventing strain and promoting healthy vocal placement. Hydration habits are emphasised, encouraging plenty of water to keep the vocal cords flexible and resilient. For The Soloist in Training, I guide practices that balance ambitious vocal goals with moments of mental calm, helping them stay joyful and connected to their voice. The Church Ensemble Player benefits from techniques that foster steady breath control and emotional presence while maintaining vocal health. Both personas learn to listen closely to their bodies and voices, creating a mindful relationship with singing. To aid progress, I recommend vocal tracking apps that monitor pitch and range, mindfulness timers to encourage regular breathing breaks, and guided breathwork tools to enhance relaxation. This approach nurtures not just technical skill but emotional well-being. Singing becomes a joyful, sustainable practice—one that supports growth and preserves the voice for years to come.
