On ne vit pas pour chanter; on chante pour vivre comme d'autres écrivent pour vivre. Notre voix change tout au long de notre vie, comme aussi toutes les parties de notre corps et de notre être.
I believe in strong vocal technique no matter what style of singing you'd like to develop. I also work on song interpretation, presentation skills, audition preparation, monologues and what to do when you get nervous.
I believe in allowing a student to guide their own learning. This means that I am flexible to work with a student to provide them with the most rewarding and engaging education to truly foster a passion and appreciation for music. I believe in strongly encouraging a student to become as devoted to practice and learning as they can be, in the ways that will best suit themselves.
My teaching methods combine what I learnt from Italian bel canto, Vienna vocal techniques, and New York Broadway singing skills. I teach with imagination, anatomy, and body moves and gestures depending on each student's need and what helps most to achieve the goal as well as successfully exploit the technique required at the moment.
My teaching methods are based in the school of Bel Canto, created with the intention of every breath being capable of producing both beautiful melody and efficient diction. I focus predominantly on the breath and the structure of both the body (with emphasis on the chest, diaphragm and shoulders) and the mouth.
The technique of my singing and the method I'm teaching based on Bel Canto. I teach one on one. Also I'm a choir conductor which works with small groups and choirs. I give singing workshops for choirs.
I teach my students on a case-by-case basis with no set plan, forming each student's lesson plans around their goals, experience level, and technical/repertoire needs.
