About Helena
It has been more than 5 years since I give private lessons. During my studies I taught English, mathematics, Spanish ... Always in the context of tutoring. Also, I worked in a private academy where I was responsible for two groups (levels A1 and B1) for one year. The results of the students have always been very satisfying. But, above all, it is their attitude towards language what has changed. I observed that they lost their fear to express themselves and that their understanding improved a lot. According to my experience as a student of French as a Foreign Language, the key is to have a teacher who questions you, who shows you your strengths and who knows how to work the weaknesses. This is what I have always tried to do in my teaching practice.

My name is Helena and I am from Spain. Currently, I live in Toulouse. I am a teacher specilized in teaching foreign languages. I have experience as an English teacher (children and teenagers - A1 levels in B1) both in Spain, Nepal and Cambodia. Also, I am trained to teach Spanish as a foreign language. Traveling and learning languages are my passion, what is why I chose this career path. I think that language learning is based on the acquisition of communicative skills (oral and written). In my classes, I prioritize the work of these skills, reading and listening to original documentation, discussing, understanding the culture and, if desired, revising more formal aspects of the language (grammar, verbs, vocabulary, etc.). I offer an interactive learning approach.
