About Amanda
Hello there! Struggling to understand mathematical concepts and techniques? Don't worry, I can help. My name is Amanda, and I am a third-year undergraduate student, pursuing a B.S. in Mathematics. Math is my absolute favorite subject, so there are no concepts I'm not willing to tackle. I attended a program in high school that tailored towards an engineering future, and that knowledge has not left. I have excelled in all listed mathematics classes, so I am more than qualified to offer a helping hand.

In my sessions, I start off with a diagnostic test (20-30 questions max). This is usually for students who are unsure of where they are struggling. After the test, I assess each student's strengths and weaknesses and continue from there. My sessions are not the same, but I like to include different methods of learning ( e.g. games, activities, worksheets, video analogies, etc.). What sets me apart is truly my holistic approach. As a student myself, I understand not being able to follow the same method as my peers. My lessons are for students learning mathematics. I tend to work with grades K-12. However, I am also able tutor in Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1, 2, & 3, Trigonometry, Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Statistics, regardless of the student's age.

If you decide to purchase a lesson package, your fee would be paying for the materials/subscription services needed to access teaching material. If the student requires a separate space, I will also need to take that into account. Traveling in NY can be costly, so I do have a travel fee that allows me to transport to and from sessions in person.
