About Kaitlyn
I’m a Physics tutor with a BSc in Space and Planetary Science and more than five years of experience guiding students through IGCSE and A-Level exams. I specialize in mechanics, electricity, and waves—areas that are both fascinating and essential. My lessons often involve practical experiments, so students can see concepts in action. I take time to carefully go through derivations, because understanding “why” is just as important as knowing “how.” Past paper practice is central to my approach, as it helps students get comfortable with exam formats. I believe in creating a supportive learning environment where mistakes are seen as part of progress. Many students find Physics intimidating at first, but with the right guidance, it becomes far more manageable. My role is to simplify, clarify, and build confidence step by step. I adapt lessons to suit individual learning styles, ensuring no one is left behind. Together, we’ll transform difficult topics into areas of strength. With effort and guidance, achieving your academic goals is entirely within reach.

My methodology in teaching Physics is systematic and focused on building deep understanding. I explain macroscopic behaviors—such as energy, thermodynamics, and motion—by breaking them down into smaller, simpler parts. I make lessons interactive with demonstrations and experiments that bring abstract concepts like heat transfer and states of matter to life. My “gadget hacker” approach helps students see Physics in everyday objects and experiences. I also value detailed derivations, which train students to think logically rather than rely on memorization. Exam success is supported with past paper practice, helping students recognize patterns and apply knowledge effectively. I give consistent feedback so learners know their progress and next steps. My lessons emphasize energy as a central theme, connecting topics from mechanics to gas laws. I adapt my teaching style to fit each student’s pace and strengths. Questions and curiosity are always encouraged in my sessions. With patience, clarity, and support, Physics becomes a subject where students can excel.
