About Abby

Hi there! I'm Abby, and I'm so excited to help you learn and grow. I'm a college student studying International Relations, which means I learn a lot about different people, cultures, and how the world works—pretty cool, right? I love bringing those ideas into my lessons in fun and creative ways! I've worked with students from elementary to middle school, especially those learning English or looking to get better at reading, writing, or social studies. Whether you’re just starting out or want to feel more confident in class, I’m here to support you every step of the way. My lessons are never one-size-fits-all. I take the time to get to know how you learn best, and I make sure our sessions are interesting, interactive, and even fun! I use games, stories, and real-life examples to help things click—and I always cheer you on as you make progress. About the lesson

Hi! I'm Abby, a patient and encouraging tutor who works with elementary and middle school students to build confidence in ESL, reading, writing, and social studies. I believe that every child learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to fit each student’s learning style—whether that’s through storytelling, games, visuals, or hands-on activities.

My teaching method focuses on engagement, consistency, and positive reinforcement. I break down big ideas into smaller, manageable steps and use real-world examples to make learning meaningful. Whether your child is learning English as a second language or wants to strengthen their reading and writing skills, I create a safe, fun space where they feel supported and proud of their progress.

A typical lesson begins with a short warm-up to review what we learned last time, followed by a main activity that targets the skill we’re working on (like vocabulary, grammar, or writing structure). I include interactive elements to keep things lively—such as short games, drawing prompts, or storytelling—and end each session with a quick reflection and preview of the next lesson.

What sets me apart is my ability to connect with kids and make learning enjoyable. I bring a global perspective as an International Relations student, and I use that to introduce young learners to new cultures and ideas in ways that spark curiosity and critical thinking.

These lessons are ideal for elementary and middle school students who are learning English, improving reading comprehension, or building strong writing foundations.
