Welcome! I’m a Certified Reading and Writing Tutor Helping K–5 Students Build Lifelong Literacy Skills With over 20 years of experience as a certified educator and a specialist in dyslexia intervention, I bring a deep understanding of how children learn to read, write, and how to help them thrive. My teaching approach is rooted in science-based literacy instruction, designed to accelerate reading levels, strengthen writing skills, and build confidence. Every student begins with a pre-assessment so we can clearly see their current abilities and set meaningful goals together. Each lesson follows a proven structure based on the Gradual Release of Responsibility model—I do, we do, you do. I guide students through clear, step-by-step instruction, modeling my thought process and teaching them how to apply the skills independently. What truly sets me apart is my certification in dyslexia intervention, my extensive classroom experience, and my unwavering belief in each child’s potential. Teaching Method & Techniques
Each student begins with a pre-assessment to determine their current skill level. This helps identify strengths, gaps, and target goals for progress. I tailor every session to meet individual needs using:
