About Kai
I am a third-year engineering student at the University of British Columbia from North Vancouver. I enjoy learning new skills as well as teaching the skills that I already know. I believe that education is not meant to be a solo endeavor and I thrive when I ask others for help and help people around me in return. I am a huge fan of team sports and activities and I think that a team mentality can be applied to learning new knowledge. I look forward to meeting you whether that is in person near UBC or online!

My Approach: - Fosters improved conceptual understanding of core topics - Employs many examples for hands-on practice and teaching - Focuses on using student's school work if available Typical Lesson: - Identify 2-3 high-level challenging concepts a student may be working through with the course material - Request students work that applies the specific challenging concepts if available - Either work through direct examples and problems if only practice is needed OR use self-made mini-lessons to teach underlying concepts What Sets Me Apart: - I am a student like many people seeking tutoring so I have empathy and an understanding of the student experience - I do my best to foster a low-stress and judgment-free environment where there are no "stupid questions" Topics/Courses I Can Tutor: - All high school levels of Math including Pre-Calculus and Calculus - UNI: Differential Calculus (I), Integral Calculus (II), Multivariable Calculus (III) - All high school levels of Physics and Chemistry - UNI: Mechanics I - High school level French (French immersion included) - Supplementary Spanish support
