About Sophie
I'm heading into my second year of university as an interstate student in Sydney, and have missed the opportunity to support younger students on their learning journey. As someone who knows the importance of reaching out when you need help, I would love to be able to support students in their times of need so that they can accomplish what they want and find joy in subjects that may present various challenges.
I hope to bring out the best in students, and see my role as someone to cheer you on and provide guidance without overstepping that line, as I want to assist your learning rather than learn things for you!

I have worked as a choral coach for five years touring around australia and to the europe for the national ANZAC day commemorations in 2019, as well as receiving 100% in ATAR music extension in 2020 and studying at the sydney conservatorium of music.
About my lessons:
voice coaching: 30-60 minute sessions where we establish your personal goals and try to get to the heart of music that you enjoy and explore your sound prioritising vocal health and growth.
Musicology: 30-60 minute sessions breaking down your understanding of a musical work and organising it in to analysis and evaluation in relation to the musical elements. I'd also hope that we can discover more things about your own musicianship in the process and that it could deepen and grow your understanding and enjoyment of music itself!
Music reading: 30-60 minute sessions where we incorporate bass and treble clef along side solfege (using the kodaly method) to strengthen the foundations of practical musical understanding, and to enjoy the breakthroughs created by slow and steady steps!
