About Matthew
I will usually respond to emails within 24 hours. Any emails should contain the student name, parent name if applicable to identification, and the time lessons are held. Foreign students can also choose to communicate via WeChat if desired. Every class is a learning experience, and as a teacher, I hope I can help others in advancing their English capabilities. Reading and understanding knowledge is a core skill that students need to learn in order to independently use ideas and create their own opinions.

I am usually a straightforward teacher and try to meet a mutual understanding with other people. I am very patient and we can sit together and figure things out. Usually, I will focus on conversational English or casual speech as this is the most important. For writing, it is important to set realistic expectations. It takes time and commitment to get something that is interesting and moves a plot forward. My lessons are open to any level of student from approximately 12-18 years of age who wants to improve their casual or writing English skills. I may also offer other specific classes upon request by email or during class.
