About Shay
Hi everyone, I'm Shay! I graduated from the University of Arizona with my degree in physics and chemistry of environmental science and a minor in biochemistry. I'm part of the endangered population of people that love organic chemistry. This has led me to teach chemistry and organic chemistry for the past two years at a college level. I have a passion for all natural sciences and have worked in a biogeochemistry lab as a research assistant. I love research and have a very curious mind!

My teaching methods typically include breaking down concepts in into more comprehensible bits and pieces, then allowing the student to reform the idea in a manner that makes the most sense to them. I love a good analogy or everyday example that better explains more complex theories. I'm very flexible and patient, as well as a personable individual that values the comfort and curiosity of all students. My education level would best suit middle school, high school, and college students.
