My teaching methodology is based largely on both the Ontario and International Baccalaureate curriculums. I put the needs of my students first, where they direct the topics we spend time on. I work closely with you to determine where you need to spend the most time and then target those areas. Preparing for an exam? I have a lot of experience working with students on exam-preparation.
I believe that the key to effective learning is to have fun while you're doing it! So my lessons tend to be very relaxed and interactive. I like to use games or mnemonics to aid learning and memory. My lessons will be tailored to the school curriculum and to the aspects in particular which are found to be difficult with the aim of achieving the best result possible in any upcoming examinations.
I like to approach tutoring with finding out strengths and weaknesses. I like having a set plan of what each session will be. I am always available for support outside of sessions if additional questions or problems arise. I want to make sure that the student has a strong base and understanding of the material. Practice is always important as well.
My teaching method is very simple. i explain the concept with examples which made them easy to understand. Also i am very flexible with my teaching methods depending on the student's demand or by observing them how they would learn things better.
My methods for teaching will differ from student to student, to start a class I usually would like to get an understanding of what the student knows prior to the session, then start from there and base the class from that.
My teaching methods depends on the student comfort level. I believe in teaching subjects with practical and live examples to clear the concepts and doubt of my students. I prefer to give a brief overview of next class in advance.
I approach my lessons with visual aids where possible and try to explain the theory in a way that helps the student understand instead of memorize so that it can be retained. I am comfortable tutoring anyone in elementary school or high school.
I base my teaching on the level your at and we'll slowly build up from there since i know how overwhelming it could get. I try to make the lessons easy to relate to as well as easy to remember.
I love teaching math and helping with their difficulty in math and other subjects like science such as chemistry. I love teaching people individually not as a group so that kids can benefit one on one so that no one will be left out and everyone will be free to ask questions.
My teaching methods are activity, demonstration and I make my lessons child-centered. I approach each subject with the aim of making every student understand.
I have over 10 years of experience managing institution of 250 students of different ages with different mindset. The improvement in students come from realigning their focus and my teaching methods. My belief: Most of the students are equally intelligent. Their brains are underutilised or their focus is diverted.
My methods of tutoring are fairly structured, as you'd expect from a typical class. Lessons begin with explainations of the day's materials, followed by questions and discussions for further understanding of the topic. Lessons are intended for highschool students. As a tutor, I'm very personable, and easy to approach.
Each student learns in different manners and at different paces from others, and I understand that this requires flexibility in my teaching methods. To that end, I have employed many different techniques to teach material, such as: - First-principles, for the students who understand concepts by building theoretical knowledge from the ground up.
My teaching methods are always student-focused. This means that it is very flexible and caters towards the student’s learning goals. As long as I am provided with study materials, I will make sure to look over them in advance. I also highly welcome questions and feedback at any time, and will also adjust my teaching methods based on the student’s preferences in learning (e.g.
I base my classes on your level of understanding of chemistry and start from there. We explore the problems that are holding you back and work together to achieve a mutual understanding of the answers and how we achieved them. We then review the process in achieving the answers to make sure that you understand completely how the answers were reached and try to have fun throughout the process.
I uses "easy-to-comprehend" words and simple yet effective techniques to solve problems so that students will understand without compromising the context. As a tutor,I am patient and I believe that every person, regardless of his age, has a potential to learn and discover everything under the sun, including Physics and Chemistry.
My classes are meant for high school students or university students. I teach based on student needs, and after the first session structure the class for the students specific wants. I put a lot of effort to provide great materials for my students.
My teaching methods are based on case to case however, a typical class with me is as follows; I start the class of with 15 - 20 minutes of personal questions based on the last lesson, homework or any other questions. My student and I would then dive into the next lesson in great depth using an integrated approach through notes, demonstations, examples and practice problems.
Through experience, I've cultivated my own unique style of teaching method. What I've adopted is a teaching style which provokes interest in the material by making it less abstract and more relatable. I myself have always been described as humorous and uplifting which I believe is a huge component to my student's significant improvements in both marks and attitude.
A few approaches I take to teaching (Including but not limited to, can't give away all the secrets): 1) Focus on the fundamentals, if there isn't a strong knowledge base there is nothing to build upon. 2) SHOW YOUR WORK! I will not let students get away with sloppy problem work or essay writing without a plan. 3) If I'm not having fun there is zero chance my student is enjoying themselves.
I like to teach complex subjects by relating them to simple or familiar concepts - we learn best when we can build off what we already know! And as Einstein said, "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough"...
MY TEACHING METHODS ARE EASY AND FOCUSED I COMMUNICATE WELL AND EASILY GRAB THE PROBLEMS.
Generally I would start by reviewing basic theory and/or knowledge relevant to the topic and then guide the student through some examples or homework. This would be followed by allowing time for the student to attempt question by themselves to demonstrate knowledge of the subject.
I believe the most important thing I can do to help my students learn is to come to every class with enough creative preparation and organization so that I may present an engaging, coherent and intuitive lecture.I will like to encourage “out of the box” thinking and try to cultivate the students’ natural curiosity.
In my teaching methods I like to use a lot of analogies. Most of the time in physics and mathematics, the topics you are dealing with are abstract and difficult to comprehend. This is why introducing familiar information and relatable situations is such a good aid when learning these difficult subjects.
I usually believe in teaching my students with scenario-based examples. Practical knowledge is much more important than mugging up theoretical book stuff. The regular knowledge test is a must. I like to have one on one classes. I don't prefer my students to take stress about studies, I like to make it more fun and enjoyable.
I believe that every student has the potential to succeed and with some one on one tutoring, students are better able to understand the subjects and curriculum being taught. I sincerely try to develop a rapport with my students so that they feel comfortable working with me.
Confidence building and providing support to students through note taking and repetition. Helping students wrap their head around what appears to be a difficult lesson. Helping students model quiz and exams concentrating on how to approach an issue and breaking it down to find the solution in a methodical and logical way.
It is extremely important to help students reach their full potential. Having worked as a university residence advisor and a life coach, I find many times that academic studies are mired due to a lack of self confidence. I pride in being able to raise the student’s confidence level and get him or her to a stable and secure academic place where to be confident and succeed on their own.
I mainly teach according to the needs of the students. At the college level, I teach approximately groups of 45 students at a time and essentially work with power point slides and in groups for in class assignments. On a one-on-one tutoring assignment I generally go through weaknesses of the students and problem solving.
