I'm approachable and relatable to kids, teens, and college students, and I focus on listening to their needs and working together to find their own personal learning style and implement individualized tools that will guarantee success. I've been a substitute teacher with Virginia Beach Public Schools and an AVID tutor with Springfield IL Public Schools as well as tutored and given kids help with homework during afterschool program with Boys & Girls Club. I've continued to work with kids, teens, and college students as a private tutor and as a creative writing and arts workshops instructor. I'm organized, reliable, and committed to empowering youth to learn and be successful, not only in their academic journey but in all their goals and endeavors in life!
I'm an experienced professional writer and editor with a Master's degree in Communications, and am therefore most proficient in teaching/tutoring any elementary, middle school, high school, and university level English language, spelling, reading, grammar, research writing, nonfiction writing, creative writing, poetry, literature, communications, journalism, speech, public speaking, and creative arts courses. For math, I can confidently tutor any basic elementary math as well as pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and pre-calculus.
