About Ammar

I am a multidisciplinary educator, researcher, engineer, trainer, and consultant with more than 25 years of experience in research, technology, professional training, and applied problem solving.
My academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, and a PhD in Knowledge Management and Artificial Intelligence. This combination allows me to connect research methodology with engineering, information systems, management, data, technology, organizational studies, and multidisciplinary applied problems.
Over the years, I have completed hundreds of research and technical projects and supported or supervised hundreds of university learners, researchers, and professionals. I am experienced in translating complex methodological choices into clear, structured decisions adapted to different disciplines, institutions, research stages, and levels of prior experience.
For thesis and dissertation work specifically, I support the full research logic: topic refinement, problem formulation, research questions and hypotheses, literature review and synthesis, conceptual frameworks, quantitative, qualitative and mixed-methods design, sampling, instruments, Delphi studies, ethics, chapter architecture, supervisor feedback, research planning, and preparation for analysis, discussion, and defence. My emphasis is on coherence, methodological defensibility, academic integrity, and helping the researcher become increasingly independent.
I teach in English, French, and Arabic and adapt my explanations to the learner’s academic discipline, program level, methodological background, institutional requirements, and research goals.

Research projects become manageable when the logic of the study is coherent: the problem leads to the research questions, the literature justifies the gap, the conceptual framework clarifies the relationships, the methodology answers the questions, and the evidence supports conclusions that stay within the limits of the design. My sessions are built around that principle.
I support Master’s students, PhD candidates, researchers, academics, and professionals working on theses, dissertations, research proposals, applied studies, journal-oriented projects, or complex research plans. The support is personalized to your field, institutional requirements, research stage, timeline, and level of methodological experience.
Depending on your needs, we can work on:
• Research topic refinement: moving from a broad interest to a researchable, significant, and feasible problem
• Problem statement and rationale: clarifying what is not yet understood, why the gap matters, and what the study can realistically contribute
• Research aim, objectives, questions, and hypotheses: alignment, wording, scope, measurability, and logical consistency
• Proposal architecture: building a coherent research plan that connects problem, literature, framework, methodology, analysis strategy, ethics, feasibility, and expected contribution
• Literature review strategy: search logic, inclusion/exclusion reasoning, source organization, synthesis matrices, thematic structures, comparison of findings, contradiction mapping, and identification of defensible gaps
• Critical synthesis: moving beyond article-by-article summary toward patterns, tensions, mechanisms, theoretical debates, methodological limitations, and unresolved questions
• Conceptual and theoretical frameworks: defining constructs, relationships, propositions, mechanisms, boundaries, and the role of theory in the study
• Quantitative research design: variables, operationalization, measurement, survey/questionnaire planning, sampling logic, reliability/validity considerations, and preparation for an appropriate analysis plan
• Qualitative research design: methodological fit, sampling, interview/focus-group protocols, data-generation strategy, coding logic, thematic development, reflexivity, credibility, transferability, dependability, and audit trail
• Mixed-methods research: rationale for integration, sequence or concurrency, priority, connecting/merging/embedding evidence, and making the design answer questions that one method alone cannot answer
• Exploratory and descriptive research: appropriate use, limits, design choices, evidence requirements, and interpretation
• Delphi method: panel logic, expert selection, rounds, questionnaire development, feedback, convergence/consensus criteria, and transparent reporting where appropriate
• Sampling strategy: populations, inclusion/exclusion criteria, probability and non-probability approaches, feasibility, bias risks, and fit with the research question
• Data-collection instruments: questionnaires, interview guides, focus-group protocols, coding sheets, and other tools aligned with constructs and research objectives
• Ethics and research integrity: informed consent, confidentiality, data handling, risk, vulnerable participants where relevant, transparent limitations, accurate attribution, and defensible scholarly conduct
• Chapter architecture: creating a logical role for each chapter and preventing duplication between introduction, literature review, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion
• Academic argument and writing: paragraph logic, evidence-to-claim relationships, synthesis, transitions, signposting, clarity, precision, and keeping the author’s voice distinct from the sources
• Revision and supervisor feedback: interpreting comments, prioritizing changes, building a response plan, and improving coherence without making disconnected local edits
• Research project management: milestones, decision logs, literature matrices, version discipline, chapter dependencies, realistic sequencing, and preparation for supervisory meetings
• Results-to-discussion planning: preparing the logical bridge from evidence to interpretation while keeping statistical execution in the separate Statistics listing and data workflow in Data Analysis
• Defence/viva preparation: articulating contribution, methodological choices, limitations, boundaries of inference, anticipated challenges, and concise responses to committee questions
• Responsible AI-assisted research workflows: using AI tools, when institutionally permitted, for brainstorming, search-term expansion, organization, explanation, or drafting support while verifying sources, protecting confidential data, avoiding fabricated citations, maintaining authorship responsibility, and following institutional disclosure rules
Every session is adapted to your actual research stage. We may work with your university guidelines, approved proposal, supervisor feedback, conceptual diagram, literature matrix, draft chapter, questionnaire, interview protocol, ethics requirements, or a structured example designed to clarify the method before you apply it to your own study.
My role is to teach, challenge, organize, explain, and help you make defensible research decisions. I do not ghostwrite theses or dissertations, fabricate data, invent references, impersonate the student, or complete assessed research on the learner’s behalf. The final work, decisions, interpretation, and authorship remain yours.
