About Olivia

My 13 years of experience allows me to spot where self-taught players struggle with their barre chords. If you are an adult hobbyist, we move at a pace that honors your commitment. Returning learners often sit down with their instrument and realize they are missing a map for their hands. I recall my own secondary studies in guitar, which grounded my understanding of theory alongside my primary violin training. These 13 years of instruction have focused on demystifying the fretboard for 143 students who craved real progress. I teach electric technique, improvisation, and soloing by breaking them into manageable, logical parts.
Understanding how barre chords function is a critical milestone for any player. Ear training is essential.
Music theory provides the language we use to communicate our ideas. I also cover reading tabs to ensure you can navigate any piece. Sometimes I look at a guitar and feel that same spark of curiosity I had when I started. It is a quiet, meditative space.
