First we establish the weak areas of the topic by talking through it.
Then i will explain how i would approach a scenario/question, giving visual examples and diagrams.
Then i will give the student an opportunity to work through a similar task, giving them guidance.
Finially we can look over what they have done and see how well they have done, highlight areas to improve and discuss how the student approached the topic.
For personal statment advice I would read through the statement, offering advice for improvement and ideas of things the student could do to boost their application which fits their circumstances.
