About Hamish
Dia dhaoibh go léir, I am Hamish, and I am a 25-year-old 1st year Irish and Spanish education student in UCC. I have had the privilege of having a wonderful tutor here who has inspired me to live and breathe Gaeilge, and I would love to spread the word of Gaeilge! As a qualifying teacher, I am very capable of teaching spoken Irish, and I look forward to helping you with Irish!

I offer conversational Irish lessons designed to help you build confidence and fluency. My focus is on practical, everyday language which will also be useful for Leaving Cert oral exams. I take a student-centered approach, tailoring each lesson to your level and interests, including: Conversational practice on topics relevant to you. Pronunciation guidance to help you sound more natural. Useful phrases and everyday expressions to enrich and expand your foclóir. A relaxed environment where mistakes are part of the learning process. For Leaving Cert students I provide exam-focused preparation. We can practice key topics such as mé féin, mo cheantar, and cúrsaí reatha. Lessons would range between 45 mins - 1 hour. Whether you are preparing for exams, or personal interest, I am here to help you feel more confident, and more passionate about using the language. Get in touch to start using your Gaeilge today!
