About Tobenna

I am a 1st year Pharmacy Student at Cardiff University who has just completed their A Levels, studying Biology, Chemistry and Drama. I achieved 12 GCSEs at grades A*-B and ABB in my A Levels. As well as my passion for healthcare and teaching I also enjoy performing and singing in my free time.

About the lesson

I offer friendly and supportive tutoring for GCSE Biology, Chemistry and History, with a particular focus on the WJEC specification. I achieved an A* in GCSE Biology and an A in both GCSE Chemistry and History, all through WJEC. My teaching style prioritises patience and creating an open environment for students so they feel comfortable asking questions and admitting when they don't understand something. Some of my issues with previous tutors were not feeling confident enough to say when I was struggling. Rather than prioritising memorisation, I want my students to develop a genuine understanding of any concept I explain so they can apply their knowledge in a variety of scenarios. Lessons are typically 1 hour long and can be tailored to each student's individual needs, whether they want to improve their understanding, build confidence or prepare for exams.

He was a friend of mine, and he tutored me for my Year 10 GCSEs. He always made sure to make time to explain things and tried different ways of explaining to ensure that I understood what he taught me.

Super good teacher, anytime I had a question I always felt safe and comfortable and he explained clearly each time. He’s the reason I got a B in chemistry!
