About Akolade
Hi, my name is Akolade and I’m currently an undergraduate student studying mechanical engineering at the University of Portsmouth. I’ve always had a huge passion for both maths and physics from my early secondary school days and have enjoyed developing my knowledge on the two subjects. My aim as your child’s tutor would be to help them progress and build their confidence in Maths and Physics. I am fully aware of how difficult 11 plus and GCSEs can be and am fully determined to help my students thrive and accomplish their academic goals through the use of my own understanding and knowledge of what I have done. I tutor my students in a way that suits them best.
I grew up in a family that has always been fond of math, which is a good reason why I’ve been able to develop my mathematical skills. I also have a huge curiosity about how things work in the ways they do, which introduced me to physics and made me want to improve my ways of gaining knowledge on these things.

My lessons are centred around the academic needs of your child and don’t worry if you’re not to sure what this is as I can help identify in this.
I have great experience in monitoring my students progress and adapting to ways I can teach them in much better suitable ways. For example, some students prefer visual or interactive tasks than others. I teach in an engaging way, allowing my students to feel assured that their voice is heard and know that what they say is important in our lessons as it gives me an idea on ways I can continue to teach them in better ways.
I am an Ambitious student, keen to aid others in subjects such as Maths and physics. I’m a great communicator which helps significantly with spreading a point across in a simple way. Positivity is key for me so will ensure that students will always have a fun experience learning.
