I’ve always believed that math isn't about being "born with a math brain"—it’s about having the right roadmap. As a current Mathematics major maintaining a perfect GPA, I spend my days diving deep into complex theory, but my true passion lies in "translating" concepts into simple, lightbulb moments for my students.

Why I Tutor:
I didn't reach a 4.0 by just being "good at numbers." I reached it by developing systems, visualization techniques, and a disciplined approach to problem-solving. I started tutoring because I saw too many brilliant students give up on STEM fields simply because of one bad class or a confusing textbook. My goal is to show you that with the right perspective, even the most intimidating equations become manageable—and even fun.

My Methodology:

I believe math is often taught as a series of "recipes" to memorize, which is why students get lost the moment a problem looks slightly different. My approach focuses on:

Intuitive Visualization: We don’t just move numbers; we discuss why the formula exists. If you can see it, you can solve it.

The Socratic Method: I don’t just lecture. I ask targeted questions that lead you to discover the solution yourself, building "math muscle memory."

Adaptive Scaffolding: I identify the specific gap in your foundational knowledge (e.g., a struggle with Calculus often stems from a misunderstanding of Algebra) and bridge it immediately. Strong foundations are essential in math.

What a Typical Lesson Looks Like:
I structure our 60 minutes to maximize both immediate homework help and long-term retention:

The "Warm-Up" (5 mins): A quick review of the previous session’s core concept to ensure it stuck.

The "Pain Point" (10 mins): We tackle the specific homework problem or topic that's currently causing stress.

The Deep Dive (30 mins): I break down the underlying theory using digital whiteboards and real-world analogies. We work through examples of increasing difficulty together.

The Solo Run (10 mins): You tackle a problem independently while I observe your process, catching "minor" errors before they become habits.
